Genesis Reminder: Don't forget to check genesis for what other online forms you need to update and sign such as the walking permission slip, the media release form, and the emergency contact information form, just to name a few.
Reminders about arrival and dismissal at LIS:
Just a reminder that if you are changing your child's dismissal plans, you will need to notify your child's teacher and the main office by 3pm. We can't have any early dismissals after 3pm, please keep this in mind when planning.
As you have seen, there is a lot of car and bus traffic at LIS during the arrival and dismissal times, so we ask those that are dropping off or picking up students by car DO NOT PARK, use our car-rider line procedures at the times listed below.
Start Time: 8:45am (Drop-off starts at 8:15, doors open at 8:25)
Dismissal: 3:30 (Pick-up starts at 3:15)
Walkers and bike riders are released at 3:15. Busses start loading and are dismissed between 3:15 and 3:45.
Car-riders will line up in the car-rider line and down the right side of the entrance. Yes, there is always a line, but once we start dismissing at 3:15 the line moves fast if we all work together! Please have a sign in your windshield with your child's name to expedite dismissal. DO NOT PARK and try to get your child, we will ask you to get back in your car and get in the car line for safety purposes.
Before & After School Programs - The Capital Area YMCA provides an aftercare program where students can finish homework, participate in enrichment activities and make lifelong friends. Parents interested in participating in the Capital Area YMCA’s Before School or After School Program should contact us for registration information.
